About

Marian Castro Garza (b. 2000) is a Mexican artist whose work functions as a visual diary, transforming everyday moments into storytelling compositions. Her paintings reflect how she perceives the world, honoring the emotion behind each scene. Often including handwritten notes, she grounds these impressions in time and place, inviting viewers into an intimate, lived experience. In this way, her practice becomes both a personal and universal celebration of life’s simple, yet significant moments.

Castro’s distinctive color palette shaped by the diverse environments she was raised in, ties her work together and evokes the moods of her experiences. Working primarily with oils, she embraces a spontaneous, fast-paced process, letting intuition guide form and material. Offering viewers an invitation to find connection, humor, and beauty in the small, mundane parts of daily life.
